wow, that's good news, huh?
I had to pay for one today. I've been waiting for the mini ipod to show up and it got released today. It's nice but I was hoping it would be even smaller (considering the Creative muvo2 4gb is almost 1/2 the size of the mini ipod). Didn't think the mini ipod was a good value so ended up buying the 20gb ipod. ouch.
You should keep yours and use it, lots of stuff you can load into it and carry with you. I've ripped a half dozen cds already and the sound quality is good.

Andy, you've got an alpine with Ai net right?

Wait until summer and don't just connect it, INTERGRATE it. ALSO Use the AAC format and not MP3's.

I would not do the 3.5 mm to RCA thing, it won't sound right. But if you cannot wait, check the threads there are many people who did this and love it.

Keep the ipod or send it to me. Don't bother with the blender in the sportscar. Although it works great in the Minivan!

If the iPod is the one with the dock on the bottom, Belkin makes a car adaptor that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car and charges the iPod.

The cool thing about it is that the Belkin also has a line out on the same power plug. Works great with the HON-AUX.

Otherwise, wait until Alpine comes out with their iPod-compatible gear. I'm currently waiting for it.
