Good point - it is shocking how misinformed they are.

I was told that a "tape" style glass antenna would be available??

Can anyone confirm or deny?

Hello, I am also interested in xm however those antenna's are kind of a turn off. I saw the terk in circuit city as well as a roof mount antenna which really didn't look like an antenna at all. It looked like a small base peice with no antenna connected. I wonder if that can be fastened to the winshield instead. Anyone else seen this roof mount peice???

XM won't be available in Canada using its current architecture. It is not licensed there and the frequencies that it is using will interfere with existing systems.
Sorry

Hey I'd just like to give people some more info on the antennas. There are two different kinds that I know about. One is the shark fin that I've seen referrence to above, but there's another one that looks like an oversized beatle. It's about palm sized and sits maybe half inch high. They come in black, but they are paintable! You can take it to your local honda dealer and get it painted the exact color of your car. If I got one, I'd mount it on my trunk. That's really the only place to put it unless you have a hardtop, but even then...

FYI

Anyone know which satellite is broadcasting this signal? Depending on it's footprint you may be able to pick it up in some areas of Canada. If northern US cities have reception (ie Buffalo, Detroit etc) I do not see why we can't pick them up with the right hardware...radio wave do not stop at the border
