Soooo impatientence wins again but my ass didn't get bit this time....

I taped off the dimmer wire and installed her......

The verdict:

This thing is awesome and the DCI2 works perfect, regardless of dimmer settings and color of buttons.....

I'll post some pics later if anyone's interested....

 

WEll HELL after 1.5 hours at another shop installed another new HU with my DCI>
Headlight on> Dimmer ON> Red ON >DCI still does not work

I'm nearly at the end of my chain here.... maybe have the PAC unit installed and see WTF

Any electronic wizes here in So. Calif? I'm stuck. I was hoping a new HU would resolve

Could the DCI IR change anything??

But seriously, i'm also into electronics and this is really odd!

 

Try moving the IR wire further away from the buttons or try another location on the HU then the one used presently. Could have something to do with reflections.

 

I dont have the ir unit. I have 2.5 wire units.

I was wondering IF the people NOT affected are using the IR units?
Is it a AP2 thing?
I've swapped out HU
Ive swapped out 2.5 DCI
DCI non functioning with red and headlight on

I have no other electronic not to cause this glitch

Who else has the glitch?

 

Buttons RED, Dimmer OFF, IR DCI - not working, any functions.

hmm... this is a weird problem to say the least. This is one of the oddest things i have ever heard of any HU doing haha. I'm curious as to why this happens, so post up when u guys figure it out!

 

This glitch is leading me to drink...
I'm sure Modifry is tired of what if's and try this, I was hoping new HU would resolve

Does not make sense why 3 units affected from the 30-50-80? HU in S2000 total
what's the common link?
I have the AP2 redblack interior and red radio lights looks best in my interior
