Default 06+ s2000's running lean from the factory

A buddy of mine went to a reputable s2k shop here In LA (Ballade sports) to get some work done and asked about DBW s2ks and why the differ from older s2ks. Apparently whoever helped him mentioned that 06+ s2000s ran lean from the factory. This is news to me as I own an 07 s2k. He also mentioned that flashpro is needed to richen up the engine. Just looking to validate this. Also are burned valves a result from a lean tune? Thanks guys!

Have you seen this thread? https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/106...ners-dbw-cars/

You might want to get a valve adjustment if you haven't already.

Also, I wouldn't say Flashpro is a must but it does offer a lot of value for the money and comes highly recommended. Gains would be minimal on a bone stock car but you would get a nice flat AFR and it can grow with you if adding some mods.

I didn't know that flashpro could give any gains at all on a stock set up. It would be nice to have though regardless if it's needed or not. I guess my only other question would be on the amount of cash I should be prepared to spend on a valve adjustment.

FP with a Gernpipe, or a test pipe or even just a HFC can yield some very nice midrange and drivability gains.
