Default 2004 ap2 Kpro questions

I have a 2004 s2000 and wanted to find out if i needed to replace all the parts or some of the parts from the hondata list to get kpro

The following items must be replaced before the S2000 K-Pro can be used. These parts are not supplied by Hondata and should be purchased from a Honda dealer.

Crank sensor 37500-PZX-003
Crank wheel 13622-PCX-013
TDC sensor 37510-PZX-003
TDC wheel 14112-PCX-003
Valve cover 12310-PCX-020
Drain plug washer (for PCV valve) 94109-14000
PCV valve 17130-PCX-003
IAT sensor 37880-P05-A00 (not required, but stock IAT will read about 30 degrees hotter)

The approximate cost of these parts is $300-375.

You have to replace all of the sensors listed. Install can be a PITA but is worth it IMO.

Are the '06 sensors/parts compatible with the '04-05 OEM ECU? If a problem is encountered with the Kpro PRB ECU, can the OEM ECU be re-installed or do all sensors/parts have to be replaced too?

No they are not backwards compatible. IF you go back to the stock ECU you must swap the sensors and triggers back.

If you are looking to save some money...

The PCV valve is the same for all AP2 cars so if you are 04-05 you can reuse yours.

The IAT is from: ACCORD '88 - '93
CIVIC '88 - '95
CRX '88 - '91
DEL SOL '93 - '95
PRELUDE '88 - '01

These can probably be had for free to pennies.
