aem ems
I was just curious guys. I have an 05 honda s2000 and plan on going Forced induction soon and i need an aem ems. My question is that for an 05 could I use the same AEM EMS from someone with an earlier year s2000?
It would be much apprectiated for the help thank you

Yes you can. I recommend just getting the AEM Series 2 though as a lot of the first ones had little issue's here and there that you may not want to deal with. Plus if you ever need a older box serviced, it is not cheap.
The major disadvantages of series 1 are:
1. you need a laptop with a serial port or need to find a solution for connecting to the ems via a usb-to-serial converter, many such converters have trouble connecting
2. there is no knock signal filtering. if you have the car tuned at a tuner then this should not be a problem
3. series 1 has 512 kb internal memory while series 2 has a full 1MB.
all other differences are largely irrelevant for our motors. The 1MB is actually pretty useful since you can almost data log a full 30min on a high frequency sampling setting. I use series 1 and had to build a contraption to house my laptop so i can collect data while on the track. all the vibration is obviously not good for the hard drive.
