Default aem ems v1

hello s2ki members! so i bought a used aem ems v1 today and getting it installed tomorrow wondering if i will get moderate gains from the new system. my car is all stock except for a test pipe. can anybody give me some knowledge on this issue?? thanks in advance. i have a 2004 ap2

You should gain a little bit and some decent midrange with a good tune. Don't expect big gains NA though. Maybe like 10 hp or so.

Why not wait till you get your NA bolt ons before tuning to save some cash.

I know this is gonna come off as stupid but what does NA mean??

Never mind just got it lol

Well I got the ems for a great deal and was wanting the car to be a little more zippy that's why I wanted to get it tuned. I like my stock muffler because I put a aftermarket on months ago and didn't like the cabin noise.

Perfect, go get her tuned. It looks like you own an AP2 so there's some pretty decent midrange power you can pick up. Don't expect a lot though, they're pretty strung out from the factory.

With a test pipe you should be able to lower the VTEC point significantly to pick up a good chunk of mid-range and really smooth out your power curve.

Na mean naturally aspirated engine. If you have cold air intake and exhaust you probably gain much more with good tune.
