Aem series 2 plug and play
Does anyone have any feedback on aem series 2 engine management. From what I hear its a direct plug and play for 2000-2005 s2000's. will this be a good product for n/a or supercharger. I'd like to buy once and be able to use something for the duration of my ownership. Thanks in advance
the AEM 1052 and the new ones 6052 (I think that's the new model #) are both great units, as long as you have a tuner that's comfortable with these units.
for na or supercharged your better off saving a few dollars and getting the older version used as there's very little benefit with the newer version (more logging, usb) unless you're going turbo and want fancy options.
Standalone/flashpro are the first mods anyone should get if they want to make power.

JST2878,
Hope you don't mind me jumping on the band wagon too, don't mean to hijack your thread, but I too, am looking at getting the AEM V2. I currently have Emanage blue that's been on the car for a long time, almost since new, but I lost my software and can't access any more data. I spent tons of time honing my maps so I'm happy leaving it as is for now.
I have my own turbo system on the car and planning on going N/A after 11 years of turbo use on my MY01 S2000. So it's time for a new management system. I am between the AEM V2 and the Hondata KPro. The only issue for me with the KPro is all these sensors and things I need to change for it to work. The AEM sounds easier if someone has a good map to start from.
I also read somewhere that its possible for the AEM to self-tune if you run the wideband, just to get an initial map. Running days on the dyno is not my plan, I would like to get a good map to start with and just hone it using the wideband on the street to achieve the A/F ratio.
Do any of the tuners out there, sell the AEM with a good map if you buy the unit from them?
