Hi guys,

Has anyone connected up to an AEM series 1 using windows 7 64bit and a USB->serial adaptor?

I have messed around with lots of baud rates etc etc and most of the time it wont connect or does and goes on-line then immediately disconnects/goes off-line?

what usb-serial adapter do you have? some are junk and just dont work. I use w7x64

radio shack sells one that works great.

 

I am, it works, had to install a driver for the crappy usb adapter though for it to recognize. Found mine on amazon.

 

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and haven't had any troubles. I do have a few different USB-Serial converters though as some are very poorly designed.

I got this one.

 

Keyspan is very well regarded by others who use equipment that's more sensitive than the AEM. I've used one of those, plus an IO Gear, and another one or two I can't remember.
