No problem. Just make sure everything is zero'd out.

No prob

Oh and one other thing, you do want to make sure vtec is set near stock engagement, doesn't have to be exact but close, 5900-6000. 5850 is stock but the vafc doesn't go in increments of 50. Post back if you have any confusion about anything.

Yeah that’s fine, but your afr will be lean from that lower vtec point to the stock engagement, which is why I mentioned keeping it close to stock for the time being. Ideally you will get yourself an adjustable rate fpr like an AEM so you can up the fuel pressure to run optimum afr in the lowered vtac area, and then trim fuel with the vafc everywhere you need it, with its finer adjustability. You cant do any of this though until you get a wideband like you mentioned.

Short of an Emanage or full stand alone, this is going to be the most effective, affordable and safe way to tune your car with simple NA bolt ons that wont break the bank, all of which can be street tuned because of the easy vafc interface. Assuming you have a basic understanding of what your doing. If you don’t, its not hard to learn. vafc is a great first step in learning how to tune, without much risk of causing harm, since effected oem systems are limited.

Is it possible to add a bit of fuel with the vafc before the ecu acknowledges a small change? read about it a little...

I never had any luck doing that. A couple people said they were able to add a little but I'm not sure what to think about that. The s2000 ECU just doesn't work that way. I experienced hiccups and hesitations in the rpm range where I made the positive correction, even just +1. So its not something to count on. This is why I recommended the Adjustable FPR to add fuel, which actually works really well, And doesn't cost but $150 for the aem unit. You could spend $50 on an Ebay fpr but I wouldn't trust an ebay item with this kind of key task.
