Default Is a Berk test pipe safe?

I'm curious if a berk test pipe is safe for the car and won't hurt when downshifting?

Of course it's safe. How would it hurt when downshifting?? Thousands of people on here are using test pipes.

I've recently read on other forums that it's not good for the car. Sounded kinda stupid to me but just wanted to get a Second opinion

makes it easier to drive, less constriction and more air flowing out, probably less stall as well

He could have thought it was similar to a motorcycle. If you change pipes on a bike and don't mess with the carbs or jets it would could potentially have your engine run either rich or lean.

Been running a berk test pipe since last season. Dynoed the same as the test pipe and once it warms up it eats the raw fuel smell. Im good with mine.
PS:
Since I have EMS and not using the O2 I had berk remove the second bung and move the cat material as far rear as possible. Im sure they would do it again.

Well.. Everyone remembers the test pipe incident of 2011..

If we don't count that, then yes, they are perfectly safe.

I don't remember it. Enlighten me, or point me to the thread about it.
