Car won't start after Modifry ECT install - AEM

Car won't start after Modifry ECT install - AEM
Help!
My car was fine, no probs starting.
I removed the 3 connectors on the AEM EMS, and installed the ECT unit as per instructions, put the plugs back in and the car won't start.
It cranks and smells of fuel, but no start.
Double checked all the wiring but it's all ok.
Does the memory get wiped from the AEM when you power it down???
Any ideas appreciated.
