Check Engine Light
As I was pulling into my work parking lot with my S2000 my car started to make this TA TA TA TA TA TA Noise and the check engine light started to flash. I have a video of the sound but it will not let me upload it. I’m going to check it out at lunch, but for right now does anyone know what it could be?
Pull the code and we can help more from there. Flashing CEL means stop driving the car. Many times it is a misfire condition that causes it, and with the sound you describe it could be missing. But really just need to see what the code is to point you in the right direction.
code said misfire in 3 and this is what came out (left side) Then the other one is oil in 1. Most likely oil in the rest of them.
This is the spark plug..no damage to piston. Hopefully mechanic can fix it. If not going to take head off and look at what else can be done..
Was the plug loose when you removed it? Or still torqued down properly?
Oil in the tubes can just be tube seals (no need to pull the head)
Concern would be if the plug was loose in the hole. If so, it could have messed up the threads in the head. If the plug was tight, I would replace the tube seals to stop the oil leak, replace the plugs and the bad coil and then see how it does from there.

There is a plug in the last photo. It is just broken. That is the part that leads me to think the plug came loose and started trying to back out while running and eventually cracked the ceramic on it.
