Default ECU for ITBs while keeping CEL functionality?

I have an AP1 and am looking at going to ITBs sometime next year and am researching ECUs. Ideally, I want something that can keep all the OEM sensors while having the functionality of throwing a CEL if something ever goes amiss. I have no emissions where I am at so am not worried about that part of it but really just want to keep the CEL functionality. I am not planning on doing any competitive driving so no rules that I am trying to adhere to. I am slowly coming around to three options but would love to hear about other systems that may meet my criteria. i.e. PnP ECU that will handle ITBs with the ability to throw the CEL.

AEM Infinity
Able to tune by VE and Alpha-N/TPS. Able to tune each individual cylinder via fuel trim. NOT able to tune individual cylinder ignition(?). NOT able to throw CEL? <- I cannot seem to find a good answer to this question. Again, I don't mind not being able to hook up a OBD scanner to it (although it would be nice for extra gauges) but want it to just throw the CEL when needed.
  • Part # 30-7108 - AEM Inifinity 508 ECU ~$1400
  • Part # 30-3508 - AEM S2000 PnP harness ~$325
  • Tuning ~$500
  • Total Cost: ~$2225

Hondata KPro
Able to throw CEL, give OBD2 and pass emissions. Not as powerful as the other two options. Not sure if it can tune VE and Alpha-N/TPS. Requires a bunch of parts and sensors to be swapped over. Maybe I calculated it wrong but the cost after all required parts makes it the most expensive ECU option.
  • Part # PRB-A01 thru A12 - 01-04 Honda RSX Type S ECU ~$325
  • Part # 37500-PZX-003 - 06+ Honda S2000 Crankshaft Position Sensor ~$70
  • Part # 13622-PCX-013 - 06+ Honda S2000 Crank Pulse Plate ~$15
  • Part # 37510-PZX-003 - 06+ Honda S2000 Camshaft Position Sensor ~$70
  • Part # 14112-PCX-003 - 06+ Honda S2000 TDC Pulse Plate ~$20
  • Part # 12310-PCX-020 - 06+ Honda S2000 Cylinder Head Cover ~$200
  • Part # 94109-14000 - 06+ Honda S2000 Drain Plug washer (for PCV) ~$1
  • Part # 17130-PCX-003 - 06+ Honda S2000 PCV Assembly ~$25
  • Part # 37880-P05-A00 - 06+ Honda S2000 Air Temperature Sensor ~$20
  • Hondata ECU modification ~$1,095
  • Tuning ~$500
  • Total Cost ~$2,341

Doctronics PnP Ecu
Essentially a Hondata KPro with a blackbox to convert the AP1 timing sensor signals to AP2 signals so no need to swap out any parts. Not U.S. based so there may be some lag time for support. Honestly, the blackbox is kind of scaring me off a little bit.
  • Doctronics ECU ~$1200
  • Tuning $500
  • Total Cost $1700

MSLabs MS3 PnP
PnP Megasquirt3 based ECU which has A LOT of options for add-ons. Able to tune VE and Alpha-N/TPS. Can throw CEL and give basic OBD2 information. Not U.S. based and not a lot of information about the ECU for the S2000 so maybe some lag time with support although the basic MS3 is widely supported.
  • MSLabs PnP ECU ~$1300
  • Tuning $500
  • Total cost $1800

Have I summarized everything correctly? Any other pros/cons that I should consider?

Haltech Platinum Plugin Pro can throw the OEM sensor CELs, you have to access them through the Haltech software and cannot pull them via ODB2 port though.

Looks accurate.
I'm using Hondata Kpro mostly to pass emissions, but it's nice to have OEM functionality as well and yes it does both VE and Alpha-N.

Kpro does either or though, correct? You cannot run a combination of those 2 maps.

What about the Haltech Elites? I assume they would have the same functionality.

I think the MAP sensor is used somehow in Alpha-N as well, but I'm guessing there is a lot more options in a full stand alone ecu.

As far as infinity it does have individual cyl ign and fuel control/trims. It doesnt retain cel like factory but instead uses cel for custom alerts(high coolant temp, low oil press...) if it sees knock it can automatically retard ignitiom to oly that one cylinder.

The MAP sensor is only used for basic barometric correction in Alpha-N.

IMO, if you cannot use an ECU that can run a blended map and/or can run in closed loop at WOT you probably don't want to run ITBs on a street car. That is at least the decision I came to.

I don't know I've never used one, I think your assumption is probably correct

The ecumaster/ultratech ECU is another very good option for the s2k. Advanced VE, alphaN or combination of both, works with all sensors (both cams as well for faster firing up) and has also basic OBD connectivity. It can through major CELs (map, coolant temp, IAT, wideband or narrowband sensor etc) plus knock reporting, fuel pressure error and some more. It is also very well priced depending on your local market and we can supply plug and play interconnector board for the 99-05 s2k.
