Default emanage tuned by giles

I'm about to buy a emanage tuned by Giles . I have a simple I/h/e set up and I'm wondering if its worth getting ? If anybody can tell me what sort of results I can expect from it ? I know it would not be like a full stand alone. Also if anyone can tell me how I would know it is a Giles tuned emanage

I have one of the last he did before he stopped doing them and I am impressed. I have to pass emissions and short of going Kpro this was the next best thing. Giles knows his stuff. There should be a sticker applied to the bottom of it with a serial number that is handwritten on it. If you still have doubts contact Scotty at Ballistic Motor sports and he should be able to help you. Keep in mind that these units are tuned for whatever mods the previous owner had on his car. As much as I like my unit, i wish I had gone AEM and then swapped in the factory computer when it came time to do the emissions testing.

I know that I had to send him a list of mods for him to map it. Giles used to run a shop called Holy Roller Dyno and he saved all the various maps that he did to make a plug an play unit. I think they became more complex as he went along as the newest ones use the Innovate LC1 for air/fuel reading and the stock primary O2 sensor is removed from the exhaust. Here is a link from the first post by Giles in 05 detailing his products evolution.

Don't waste your time with a piggyback running a basemap. Get a standalone and get a custom tune for your setup.

Exactly. I had the one that Giles made with the dip switches. 2 timing and 2 fuel switches. Car ran good but don't think the car made any more power. Get a stand alone ems or an emanage with a tune specific for your car and mods. .
