Exhaust for Flash pro
Hi,
i'm looking for an dual exhaust that could give some gain with a flashpro map. I have seen that on stock car,
Legalise R sound good at wot but I'don't know if I could gain some hp with a proper map.
I saw that Greddy SE on a stock s2000 gives some hp, so I suppose that on my car with a flashpro map could I gain something. But I read that it quite loud.
I'm considering also tanabe medallion and HKS.
Any soggestion or experience?
Thanks

With most you won't find huge gains. I would buy more for sound than hp.
With that being said.
Volume wise the ones I have owned or ridden in.
Loudest to quietest.
Greddy SE
Tanabe medallion touring
HKS
Fujitsubu
The Greddy se if my current one and with the stock header and car it isn't that bad. Little to no drone.
I like the fit and finish of the Greddy the most and it might make the most power because of the 70mm piping.
The Tanabe is well constructed, light weight and sounds good and doesn't drone much if at all. On the ap the tips stick out a bit and so it doesn't have the same clean look the greddy has.
HKS is inexpensive and uses mild steel. They rust quite fast weight a bit more than the others. They sound good but have shown to lose power.
Fujitsubu is almost like stock sound wise but the tips are a little odd and the canisters I find are quite large. The tips face lightly upward.
I wanted more sound that this exhaust made and I wasn't sold on the way it looks.

thanks, for your report. My problem is which of those exhaust could it be better tuned with hondata flash pro.
I know that its not easy to answer to this question. I suppose greddy would be the answer (cause is 70mm to 60mm).

Basically the best flowing exhaust you can get will provide the best gains..and that dosent mean a big 70+mm exhaust will be best.
The more air you can flow through the engine, the more fuel you can add to bring the air/fuel ratio to where it should be (around lambda 0.92 WOT for NA cars) which equates to more power per unit time.
I suppose a hytec header with test-pipe and 63mm single would probably be a good starting point for a purely performance based exhaust. Expensive though.

I've got a 06 with injen intake and fujitsubo legalis exhaust. I also have a flashpro and tune done by e-tunez.com.
I'm putting down 221 hp / 156 tq at the wheels.
Like Dan said, it's all about flow. The flashpro will let you optimize your tune to take advantage of the increased flow of intakes / exhausts...etc.
The Fujitsubo is a good exhaust, not sure which exhaust flows "best".....but the Fuji is a great sounding exhaust that I can live with everyday. Some bolt-on cat-back systems are better than others, but the differences are not much.
To get the "best" possible flow.....I'd think you'd need to go with an intake/header/test pipe/exhaust all designed to work together. Then tune accordingly.
None of your choices are bad ones....I can only comment on the fuji.

When I only had my Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust with the Flashpro Stock Tuned Calibration, my 06 put down 216 hp and 157 lb-ft of TQ.
Since then I have added a K&N intake and a 60mm INvidia Test Pipe, and loaded the Toda calibration.
I have not had the car dynoed again, but it now feels much stronger (and a bit louder).
I have been meaning to do a real tune, but since it drives so good now it has not been a priority for me.
The reason I'm telling you this is because like others on this board have said, getting the a high flow cat or test pipe will eliminate a lot of the restriction in whatever exhasut you choose, and it will give you s lot more tuning flexibility.
Good luck with your selection process.

You won't find a huge difference on any of these. My point is buy the one that sounds the way you want.

Power wise I won't think it mad a huge difference over the greedy and the greddy seems to provide better flow at lower revs.
