Default Flashpro Knock

I have a my06 with fipk/plm header/70mm tp/70mm SE single. I've been using the toda base calibration and recently i've been getting knock only in cyl #2. Ranging from 5 to 70 knocks in a 20 min driving session. I've noticed that it occurs only between 2700-3500 rpm. Will a dyno tune get rid of the knocks? thanks

Go under ignition tables then cylinder trims. Give cylinder 2 a -1.
Getting a dyno tune or a Etune from someone like Jeff Evans would be best tho.

Try fuel cylinder trim and add 2 to #2. If it still doesnt help try -2 for ignition. If it still doesnt help you might want to try a different base map or get it tune.

hello emphany,
i have the same problem with you. check out my mods at the signature.
knock comes only at 2800-4500RPM and 50kPa-80kPa intake vacuum range (this zone is totally at low-cam). no knocks at hi-cam or WOT.
by the way, i have no audible knocking sound.
ignition trim (negative), fuel trim (positive) failed for me.
increasing knock sensor threshold to max. value (204) also failed. by the way, this is kinda senseless solution, kind of fooling urself .

what i have observed until now;
  • giving extra fuel to the problematic zone seems to decrease the no. of knocks.
  • lower IAT helps (knock has decreased from summer to fall)
  • heat soak increases knock (stop&go traffic heats the intake manifold; hence the IAT goes up!)
some say knock sensor is just over the cyl#2, and this type of knock is simply a phantom knock, but i am not totally satisfied with this explanation.
there is another guy declaring exactly the same problem at Hondata support forum.
i will be glad if you share your further findings...

Just as a side note when I had my flashpro and loaded the Toda reflash the only place I was getting any knock was cylinder 2 at low-mid throttle and at that same rpm range.

Update: I got rid of all the cylinder 2 knocks with the toda calibration. i put -3 for the invidiual cylinder ignition table and 2 for individual fuel trim. however, im getting 1 knock per 10 min session in cylinder 3. Hope that helps phantom_ and thanks for the help ExternalLx and //steve\\. hopefully the knocks stay away!

I have the TODA calibration on my 07 with Comptech intake, headers, Asura 70mm HFC, and Comptech exhaust and get a 8 knock count, ill have to check which cylinders its coming from. Ill try what you did and see if it lowers the knock count. I did a dyno this past weekend with the TODA Flash and noticed a more linear and smoother power curve compaired to stock with the mods I have.
