Make sure to replace the flywheel with something lighter while you're replacing the clutch. I just replaced mine with an 8 lbs Fidanza, and love it! It is still super easy to drive, but the it really brings the car alive!

Any explanation of the big dip after 3k? If you look on my thread my tq curve is linear. Maybe vtec should be set higher because thats a big drop

The dip is normal, but occurs at different RPM ranges depending on the harmonics of the intake and exhaust (and everything between). Mine peaks at 3500 RPMs, then drops a bit. However, I was able to prevent some of that power drop by lowering VTEC to 3700 RPMs.

hmmmm just wondering why you guys have it set so low. On the ops dyno graph he loses 10ftlbs of tq after 3k. If the tune was a bit more on point it would pull way harder throughout till redline. I think the op is in my neck of the woods. I wouldn't mind comparing how our cars drive.

opps my mistake

how many miles do you have on your car? stock clutch? i need to get a clutch myself. I'm only at 36k. what are you going with?
The car has about 16500miles on it right now. It still has the stock clutch. I want to replace it with the toda high power clutch kit. I had a toda flywheel on my previous car (integra) and it was probably the one mod that i did that was most noticable.

[QUOTE=gernby,Mar 1 2010, 12:13 PM] If you read above, you'll see that his VTEC is at 4600 RPMs, which is when the torque jumps back up quickly.

that doesn't mean you car won't like a lower vtec point. Your setup might want a vtec point closer to 3k rpm. Every setup will require a different vtec point and just because you have a stock airbox doesn't mean it wont want a lower vtec point. Only way of knowing is to tune the low cam upto 6k rpm, then do the high cam from 2700rpm and up and then make the vtec point where the two torque curves cross

Why the rush to replace the clutch? With so few miles, your clutch is practically new. If you replace the flywheel and get rid of the clutch delay valve, that would make all the difference in the world. I recently did the same.

I was only looking at how both calibrations with different vtec points still had the same dip at 3000 rpm thats all. So with an aftermarket intake it will change the tune and the hp/torque curves. That is what I love about the flash pro, I can continue to mod and adjust my tune to my current mods.
