Default Greddy E-Manage Tune Sharing

I found a thread on this a while ago but it seems to have died. I really don't understand why people wouldn't want to share their tune? It is not going to hurt anyone in the long run as long as you don't try to run a tune that is not suited for your car. And your car still needs to be tuned to get the most out of it.

I also think that tune sharing could lead to greater gains for everyone car. Someone else may find something that you missed or tweak it a little and make it better and share their findings with you.

I am also a member of a forum for jet skis and we all share our tunes. Everyone is very friendly and non competitive and genuinely want to help each other. You can post your log file and someone will look at it and tell you what you can do better. And this is with a Motec ignition system. Sharing had definitely lead to more gains for everyone on the forum.

Most of all it gives people without a tune a place to start. Most of the time you can find someone on here with your exact or very similar setup.

Forums are designed to help everyone and everyone gains from the knowledge here. Why not share it will only better the s2000 community and friendships here.

That being said I am looking for a tune/base tune for an '05 invidia exhaust/testpipe and a k&n FIPK. :-)

Thanks for listening!!

-David

Its not that difficult to create a base tune and also every car is different so its not ideal. Lastly you really need a dyno apart from AFR tuning but still with the gubbins you can use it still best to use a dyno.

I'm a greddy EMU owner by the way and tuned it on a dyno.

I recently bought a Greddy emanage blue and I was wondering what a good tune setup is for the dials for a stock engine. I've got a fuel pump and injectors that I haven't installed yet. I'd just like to get my greddy unit strapped into my car to prepare for turbo install. Does anyone have some good basemaps for a stock tune with greddy spectrum elite dual exhaust or similar?

s2k florida - if your going to boost your car you should at lesat get a emanage ultimate and not just the blue.... if your in florida i would just go with the ems and not a greddy emanage...

as for sharing tunes.. unless your a friend or somewhere along those lines i presonally wouldn't send anyone the tune i spent 400 dollars to get. and you shouldn't use other people's tunes anyways... our car aren't like 1.8t vws or audis where you can just get a chip and upload other peoples tunes... if you don't want to blow your motor just get it tuned by a respectable tuner...

Not a lot of people buy greddy emenage ultimates for just a test pipe, exhaust, and intake. if i were going that route i would get a vafc and mess around with it myself.

What are you trying to achieve? lowering vtec engagement point? or just trying to get the most out of your na setup?? most shops wont even touch the emanage ultimate... if your on the east coast there are only a few people that know how to use the emanage ultimate Giles being on ofthem... he has retired from the shop he worked at tho... I think the shop he worked at was in CT, but i would try to ask for giles tuned emanage ultimate users for their tune. hypoforlife might have a tune for you his name is david. ask him if he'll send you his tune that giles made him... i dunno if he'll charge you or not since he did pay like 200 bucks for the tune... he has an 70mm test pipe and t1r 70em exhaust and a k&n intake like you.

Considering how many tuners are out there for the GEMU for us, I dont think it would be hurting many people to have just like a base map for certain set ups circulating. I dont need one, but just my .02

ive been into hondas for a long time and always used s300 ( on turbo civics and integras). im tempted to buy the aem stand alone for a the s i just picked up, bc im abpout to throw a greddy kit on it. im interested to see ho wmuch more free ( or restrictive) the aem system is going to be. ill probly throw in my 2 cents once i get it tuned. loosing the cel is kind of annoying tho.
