High Coolant Temp?
So I started fiddling with my EMS today, got the ignition timing and wideband calibrated and have been tweaking some of the idle stuff and I set up the internal logging as I was about to start looking at the O2 feedback.
I hit the "tune" preset to pull up the engine parameters and fuel/ign maps and Im shocked to see that my coolant temp is at 216*!
I turned the car off immediately and Im letting the coolant cool off a bit. Its about 170* now, Im downloading the basemap to the ECU again without the changes that I did and see if it does it again.
Anyone know why the coolant temps could be skyrocketing like this?

aem had the ect sensor calibrated incorrectly on the series 1 basemaps. iirc i think they used the same values as those for the b-series ect sensors. check out this thread:
