How do you protect unused harness connectors?
I'm in the middle of an ITB build on my 2004 S2000 and I am leaving the stock harness intact, at least as much as I can, in case I ever need to return the car to stock. I've only had to replace one stock connector for the TPS and everything else I've left alone. I've removed the stock air pump and am moving to Hondata KPro. So, I've got at least half a dozen of the stock harness connectors that are no longer being used and are just dangling in the engine bay. Does anybody have a good suggestion for how to protect these unused connectors and keep them clean, beyond just wrapping a bunch of electrical tape around them? I was thinking that it would be nice if I had some kind of flexible cap I could tape over them, but haven't been able to find anything like that.

www.cycleterminal.com has most of the connectors, just take the time to look through the site and match them up; he has very good photos of the connectors.
At the bottom of the page for the connector you need they usually have the corresponding pins & grommets available. You want to use the"cavity plug" instead.
I've done the same mods that you are working on now and I just used electrical tape (self-amalgamating type) on my connectors.
Doubt you would find caps that would make a good fit on the various sized connectors.
I thought about using cable end caps but they are kind of bulky and probably a lot more work to get off if needed.

If you really want to be extra like me what I did was purchase the corresponding male/female connector that goes to what's being left unused & just use blanking grommets for where the wires would go into it.

Thank you for the tips. It looks like taping them up is the common solution. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some other sleek solution before I button things up.

If you use tape, put a little dielectric grease down in the pin area (not where you are trying to tape of course) and then start taping with the sticky side OUT. Make a couple of tight wraps this way so you stretch form the tape around it so it does not come off, then twist the tape and wrap it the other way for the last wrap or two. This way, if you ever need that connector, you can cut the tape and pull it right off without leaving a bunch of nasty, sticky mess all over it from the tape
And do a good half lap on the tape to make sure it seals up.
Also, you slightly stretch the first layer or two so it forms to the thing you are wrapping. The last layer should NOT be stretched and should just be snug. This prevents the tape from wanting to pull back and come undone over time.
