Default How is the KPRO base map?

I have a 2005 AP2 and was wondering how good/bad the KPRO base map would be for a NA AP2 with I/TP/E/TB/IM ?

I've been reading around and saw that some closed loop parameters for the stock narrowband in the base map needed to be updated (http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9424), so I was wondering if there was any other similar issues with the base map?

I was planning on street tuning and then following up with a quick dyno tuning session so any advice on tweaks required or other parameters that need to be updated would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

It's ok...defiantly wouldn't go beat on the car with just a basemap.

Take a few degrees of timing out...get a wideband...have fun tuning.

Kpro basemap is pretty good actually. I drove my car from Dallas to Galveston (about 5 hours) and got 28mpg on that map, only thing I did was adjust the fueling a bit here and there since I was modded as well. I have a wideband that I use to tune though, if you don't have anyway to know what the AFRs are, I wouldn't recommend using an unknown map and sure as hell wouldn't adjust anything.
I had Intake/TP/Dual Exhaust. Idk how big of a difference your TB and IM will make, but it uses stock timing maps, so it might work okay.

Yes I will be adding a PLX wideband at the same time.

Good to know that its decent, did you change the narrowband paramters like that Hondata forum post suggested or did you just use the parameters that were in the base map?

I'd change the paramaters as Hondata recommends.

^^ Yup, changed to the parameters in the hondata forum, and it helped a good bit.
