In a previous post I have been trying to establish why my engine is stumbling when returning to idle. There have been many suggestions and I have stripped and checked everything from
Plugs to EGR Valve, including my IAC valve ( several times ) I thought I had almost cured the problem with a new air filter but today decided to strip my IAC valve once more...And very glad I did. There is much talk about cleaning the IAC valve to cure or prevent bad idle problems, however, I have not come across any information as to how to adjust the IAC valve...Yes, Adjust!
Today I have learned that in the same way the Throttle Position Sensor can be rotated, the IAC valve is also adjustable, in fact more so. Rotating the electric sensor when the engine is running has a major effect on idle and throttle response. I have "Tweek'd" my one for as best I can results but would like to know if there is a correct procedure? Anyone?
