Post Instrument Panel

Every now and then my instrument display fragments. All the digital bits start flashing and after a few minutes the display is blank (or covered in bits of digital display). After the car has been switched 'off' for 30 minutes the display is ok again when the car is started. As the display comes 'back' ok I suspect the actual instrument cluster is ok.=left
My S2000 is 13years old (I've had the car for 10years) and this is the first real fault.=left
Any ideas? Fuse? Bad earth? Dampness (I live in Scotland)?
