Default ITB tuners/installers. Calling all ITB'ers

Hi, Im sure some of you have seen a few of my other posts asking qeustions about itb installs and things like that. I have decided to not do the install myself due to the fact that once i get them on the car will be undrivable and i will have to flatbed it to a shop to get it tuned. Thus not saving me any money by doing the install myself. I dont believe the install to be hard at all just not worth doing it myself if i cant find someone to tune it locally.

I know there are quite a few people have ITBs on their cars and have had them for a while now. Im just curious as to where they got them installed and tuned? I have called 3 shops now and none of them are familiar with them. They said they could probably get it done but i would rather just go somewhere that has done them before.

Im located in Montgomery AL but im willing to drive to get them done correctly.

Who has experience?

Who can do this w/o charging me $2000 and having my car for multiple days?

Here is my parts list.
51mm Jenvey ITBs
1052u AEM EMS
AEM wideband 13-1 gauge
Earls hardline to steel braided fuel line adapter
Vacuum block
550cc injectors with clips
Aeromotive FPR

I have had these parts for a while now and im starting to become discouraged and frustrated due to lack of places to take my car to that are not 10+ hrs away. Thanks in advance for your help.

Bump.

Even a basemap for startup would be great. I have a local tuner that could fine tune. Just getting all the start up stuff would help greatly.

the easiest way to tune it is to rescale the load breakpoints so that you have more resolution between -5psi and 0psi, thats where most people have their problems.

The load on itb's doesnt vary much from part throttle to full throttle so the area of the map right at 0psi needs to be "stretched" out so you have finer control. They arent hard to tune or get running, just hard to make drive right.

Well i have yet to find a shop that says "Yes i have tuned them and yes i know what im doing." I dont want to take it somewhere and end up paying like $1,000 for a tune because it takes 6+ hrs. Be nice to have the confidence of someone who has done it before. I know tons of guys who tune turbo cars, just not itbs.

Yeah thats 10 hr drive. Have you tuned on a 1052u? If so could i get a basemap to start off of? Would it even help? Or are ITBs so particular to each setup that it wouldnt do me any good? I have a tuner that tunes high hp turbo cars so hes compitent. Just getting the thing started and running will be new for him.

Or if you know any shops closer to Alabama.

surely he can post you some simple timing values and fuel values for that area of the map? Does the AEM measure the fuel map in VE% or as injector opening time (ms)?

Idle and wot are easy.. have your guy do those 2 things and I'll help with drivability once that's done.

Ok thanks Wadzii. I have install and tune time scheduled at Midnight Performance in Georgia. He said he has done almost a dozen ITB setups before so I am fairly confident he knows what he is doing. I will report back after i leave there.
