im getting ready to turbo my 01 s and noticed that u need to swap to a ap2 valve cover. Is this true or am i able to buy an aftermarket one such as a spoon one? And whats the difference between the ap1 and 2 covers

 

No you dont need to swap valve covers. I think the AP2 PCV Valve is better on the AP2 valve cover I'm not sure though.

 

It has to do with the size on the inside with one of the cam gears I believe, not sure of the exact reason. But if you are converting to KPRO you will definitely NEED an 06+ Valve cover for the conversion per Hondata.

 

So would it b okay if I got an after market valve cover as long as it's for an ap2

 

only if it is for 06+. the KPro uses a the exhaust cam sensor from an 06+, which will only work with an 06+ VC.
