KPRO or AEM Infinity (Ap1, SC, 11lb)
I'm looking to get my car tuned this spring (AP1, SoS kit with 10-11lb pulley nothing to crazy) and have been researching on and off in the past pretty much deciding on going with K-Pro. At the time infinity was still around $2500 and I really didn't look into it because it was a newer product with not much review yet. I now see the price has dropped and from the little bit of reading I did I've read good things about infinity. I'm mainly looking for just great drivability. I've. Always been impressed with Hondata on civics I've owned... But I would much rather not go about tearing apart timing cover etc to install the neccessary parts needed for the Kpro install. My build is simple and from the bit of research I've done AEM has really stepped up their game with the Infinity unit. I read the review I believe wadzii did and was very happy with what I read, I'm just pretty much looking for the pros and cons of going with either option. Will I be losing anything by going the Infinity route/ vise versa.
Thanks in advance guys I'm going to make sure to do some well needed research also. I plan to get my car tuned this spring and just want to be prepared.

Awesome, I recently moved to the Denver area and have been contact with a few tuners. I recently emailed a couple to see if they have any experience with infinity. From a tuning stand point it sounds like a pretty user friendly system. I've always been told that K-Pro is pretty easy to tune with as well. I've heard some bad stories of people having issues with cold starts using AEM V2, and overall preferred to go the Kpro route. Now it looks like infinity has all of the bugs worked out and from the review I've read it looks like it potentially has more options than k-pro.
Like stated though... I want to be sure the individual tuning my car is comfortable with the infinity platform. Would someone experienced with running via AEM V2 have a difficult time tuning using infinity for the first time?
I will definitely keep in touch with you as well Phearable about ordering an EMS

I'm not quite sure yet to be honest. I've been extremely busy the past 2 weeks and have been meaning to stop at a few shops that are in the area. I was browsing the AEM site and I found a few infinity certified tuners in the area so I'm really leaning towards that route. I just need to do more research and figure out everything I need.
I know this is late, but two main considerations.
1. You pick tuner first, then ECU. I'm a ex-mechanic so technically anything with a motor I can work on; but I'm really good with BMW's and S2000's. Same holds true to my network engineering background, I can work with anything computer related, but Windows OS is preferred. Your tuner will more than likely be really sharp at one or a couple systems. Find out what he/she thinks after you've discovered them to be a great tuner. DO NOT go by one person's recommendation. I did that and had a tuner blow a built inline pro motor from timing.
2. Something I NEVER considered before. Emissions checking is happening all over the nation, TX used to have none and now the emissions counties are everywhere. Had I done everything over I would have gone KPro on this fact alone. Also having a ECU that can give you troubleshooting codes makes problems a MILLION times easier to diagnose.
