Default KPro Emissions Test

Well, its time for an inspection sticker in Texas. I have a turbo'd S2000 with KPro. In Tx, they connect to the OBD2 port and make sure no codes are thrown. Has anyone gotten an inspection with KPro? How did it go?

Oh yeah, I was going to tell you wasn't I!

Pulled in to the little roll-in Midas near work. They didn't even pop the hood let alone look underneath. Took about 15 mins. Clear for another year.

Edit: They did have to come out and ask where the hell the OBD port was and how to open the gas cap though.

i bumped a thread about it in the NT section, perfectly fine, i did plug my VIN into the kpro, though

i asked the guy who did it about the VIN, and he said it doesn't read that or what kind of car the ecu is supposed to be in/etc., just that the readiness codes are good to go, and no CELs

kpro has a feature to manually force/set the readiness codes to "complete" or OK right before the test to make sure you pass.

flashpro actually simulates the test and displays the status to comfirm you will pass. not sure if kpro has this feature- it's been awhile since i programmed a kpro....

Well, I did it today. No problems at all. The guy wanted to know all the stats though and took pics of the engine bay and turbo. LOL. He then asked for a ride!! I, of course, obliged. Very awesome.

Sucks that smog is annual in Texas. I hadn't realized that. Bi-annual is bad enough here in CA. Hopefully it doesn't cost you $50 like it does here
