Need help with radiator/hoses
Hey guys, I haven't been on the forum in a very long time but need some help here cause I'm getting stumped with what's going in.
I found that my OEM radiator had nice crack in, it happens it does have 112k miles on it. Ended up going aftermarket cause it was cheaper and got a blackworks aluminum radiator. Was supposed to be OEM direct fit. Nope, was pain to get the fan lined up with the bolts but I got it on and few days later started leaking from weld, thankfully I acidently ordered 2 of them. Took it out replaced it again, I also at this point had a set of blue radiator hoses I got to ad lil flair to engine bay. I couldn't get the top one off due to it being under the intake manifold, however I got the bottom one on. I was driving few days later and the bottom hose going into the bottom of the engine fell off (I forgot to unlock the spring clamp). Got it to gas station, got hose back on and clamped, filled it up, went down road and started overheating again. Investigated and felt wet under the bottom hose goes into radiator now. So mabye it was dumb blue hose I got or could be leaking from weld like last one. Next day got my old hose put it back on and also used screw clamps instead of the junky spring ones, everything seemed fine. Still smelt burning coolant after day or so, checked it and it's still wet under the bottom hose going into radiator! So I keep checking it every time I drive, both were it's leaking and how much I'm loosing (very little). Now few days later it's not wet or leaking under were the hose is into the radiator. But I find it's leaking bad were the hose is going into bottom of engine, a lot like one good drive and my resivior is gone, it's dripping a nice trickle from it. I can't get a break, I don't understand anymore what's going on. Mabye it finally formed a good seal with heating Up and cooling down were the hose went into the radiator but why is it leaking so bad were it goes into the bottom engine? The hose is on all the way and the clamp is screwed down tight but not over tight.
Sorry for long story but not sure if anything in there would contribute to the issue, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
