Does it do that automatically or is there a setting that needs to be turned on so that it logs if and when knock is detected

There is a setting for the dash CEL to blink that has to be enabled.

Check that box and it will blink just as the OEM ECU would when detecting a miss?

Not quite. This is more a flash on a knock count, rather than a CEL for a OBD2 code.

So it could be several quick flickers? I had that happen the other day when I was doing a spirited highway pull...

Kyushin, you should get a tunerview or whatever the new one is.

It records if there was knock and how many by default, each drive.

Are you referring to tunerview or the manual switch needed to enable hondata data logging?

I am not very well educated on the kpro, but it seems that it will not automatically record these things in data logging and it is all lost once you turn the car off.
