Default Nitrous/water methanol workaround

Hi,

Could really use some help, since flashpro does not have nitrous control, I was thinking of using the VTEC solenoid or the VTEC oil pressure switch 12V to trigger a relay to activate the water methanol pump (or a nitrous solenoid).
Typical relays have around 135-160 mA current draw, do you think that this would overload the ECU VTS (or oil pressure switch) driver?
Should I use a relay with a build in diode?
In theory this would be a very simple system controlled by the VTEC parameters.
PS. I don’t want to use an external controller if I can avoid it.
Thanks
Rog

Then you would forced to have water meth come on at vtec engagement right? Why not just run a simple relay and Hobbs pressure switch? Then you can have full Independent control and not risk potential issues with your vtec solenoid.

Well the thing is that being NA and using a Hobbs vacuum switch at 4 inHg, I would still inject too early (heavy foot) and risk quenching even if the injector sprays only 10% of my total fuel, looks like my best option is either a RPM switch + a Hobbs 4 inHg vacuum switch or a progressive controller (vacuum+rpm)...
The VTEC input would be perfect...but looks like it might fry the ECU VTS driver...
May be Hondata could do something similar to the boost control on flashpro and provide an internal ECU VTS crosstalk to a unused 12V driver and give us nitrous/water methanol control...
Any other options?
Cheers

Is there really any power to be gained with meth on a NA car? I would think N2O is the way to go there. For that just use a wide open throttle switch. Its simple and works well. I run meth on my turbo car with a progressive controller, which also does the job, but obviously only in boost. Are you gonna actually run water/meth? I'm curious how it will do on a NA car.

It will show gain since I'm knock limited on my timing by at least 4 degrees using 91 octane, 93-94 is not readily available in my area, that would be equivalent to jumping from 91 to E85, with the benefit of a cooler intake air charge...how much improvement? We'll see, I'll post results after dyno tune...My hopes are not too high but...
Have not been using my windshield washer tank for the last 4 years, about time I put that fluid to good use...
RPM + vacuum progressive controller.
Cheers
