Post Oil Leak

Need help determining where the oil leak is coming from?
Noticed oil residue where the red arrows are pointing.

looks to be the valve cover gasket. When that valve cover was removed and replaced during powdercoat or paint, was the gasket replaced? And if so, did you torque the fasteners down? Also, was that perhaps done along with a baffle mod from Charlie? I ask the last question because we have found the earlier version of that baffle is missing the indentions to prevent contact with the cam tower bolts. Mine torqued fine and did not leak, but once I found that out I removed it and made the indentions to clear them. But it could cause it to not fully seat when torqued to honda spec I would think. Mine never leaked but I could see that happening.

I wish that was my valve cover, but its just a pic of the net.
I only used it for quick reference. My leak appears that is
seeping from underneath the valve cover bolt and washer
and then flowing down the side of the valve cover.

Oh Ok. It is a nice cover! So on yours, there are rubber gaskets under those washers that can leak. First, try to make sure they are torqued down. They do not require much (9 lb ft IIRC) so make sure not to over tighten them. Over tightening can cause leaks too or of course damage the threads.

If all is well on the tq then you may just need to replace them. I believe the valve cover gasket comes with those as well but double check on that. I would do the valve cover gasket, those gaskets under the bolts and the spark plug tube seals while doing it. Pretty easy and quick job and if you have not done so already, not a bad time to check valve clearances

Can confirm valve cover gasket kit contains blot washer gaskets.
