Default Ongoing AFR Issue...?

Hey guys,

I posted this in the FI section, but I figured since this was tuned by a Hondata unit, all you FlashPro'ers could chime in.

Link

The CEL issue was fixed by disabling the secondary O2, but my AFR is still shooting funky numbers and isn't smooth or consistent. Like I stated, when cruising or at idle there seems to be 'lag' before it corrects itself to 14.7 AFR. And my WOT is magically more leaner.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

how old is your primary O2 sensor?
if it's not fairly new - you might have "slow sensor" issue which should be "cured" by a new sensor.

you might have what I am having as well. I'm changing out both exhaust gasket that goes to the cat/test pipe area. I already replaced the O2 sensor thinking it was time for a new one however symptom still there. So maybe there is a leak after the primary O2. The first gasket that is a donut looking one. Hoping its that or else its back to the drawing board. Let us know what you find out.

Well my tuner says its nothing to worry about - I've disabled te secondary O2 sensor after my test pipe and I'm still having these symptoms. I don't hear any exhaust leaks at all and it's been driven hard/for awhile since I remade the exhaust gasket, so any leaks would be noticeable by now. I'm starting to think its the primary sensor, but it seems to early to swap out...

I had to swap mine out, as have some others, no problems for me since. I learned from this forum actually there is a common problem with the primary on our cars.

i don't see how a leak AFTER primary O2 can affect AFR reading...

So I finally got around to datalogging a cruise home, I tried to get in a few WOT runs as well. If you guys could check it out and let me know if anything looks weird that would be great. I still believe my primary O2 sensor's a bit shot up, but I could be wrong.

Attached is the FlashPRO datalog

Thanks!
