Default Question about Giles EMU

I've read all about Giles EMU and I'm leaning heavily towards it vs SC. People with the Black GEMU, are you guys completely satisfied with it? I love how VTEC kicks in at 4k and climbs really high in the rpm band. I have $2500 to spend and there's a used SC with 12k miles on it for sale in ebay that has a day left before end of auction for $2000.
Here's my dilemma. If I go with the SC (used), I'm afraid some of the parts may end up breaking in less than a year because of the simple fact that it's been used. My buddy told me I should never go with a used turbo/sc kit. But the twisty part here is, I've read that some people in this forum have bought used turbo/sc kits and have had no problems with it. I don't trust my luck at all lol.

So here's the deal. Brand new GEMU or used SC kit. I'm not looking for big power hp gains here. Just something that will get me going right off the line a little faster. Waiting for 6k takes a looong time especially on hot days like today. Oh and that's another reason why I don't want to grab the sc kit right away. Btw, the car is my dd. So I kind of want it to last for a long a$$ time.

Please chime in. Thanks

You are not going to see nearly as much power from a piggyback and even then if Giles himself isnt tuning it beware.

Sorry bud, but I ended up getting the Black gemu. Can't wait for it either. I know sometime down the road, I'll have FI... If the government will still allow it after 4 years from now. Lol.

You should keep it then. I'm not into the whole track deal but I'm guessing your going to track your car a lot?
