Default S2000 FlashPro Boost Control

Good news everyone

In the past many have people have asked us when boost control will be added to the S2000 FlashPro, but because the S2000 ECU does not have a spare PWM output (like the Civic Si) we have not been able to do this.

However, we have looked closely at the S2000 ECU and found that we can modify the ECU to enable a PWM output on an unused pin. Thus you can have boost control with the S2000 FlashPro.

For S2000 FlashPro boost control you will need to do four things:

1. Send in your ECU to Hondata for modification. The form you need to fill out is found here.
2. Obtain a suitable boost control valve. If you wish you can buy one from Hondata at the same time you get your ECU modified.
3. Download and install the FlashPro beta software - available later this week.
4. Wire up the boost control solenoid as per the help file

Fine print:
- Currently only US S2000 ECUs have been tested, but this should work for international S2000 ECUs.

Surprised there hasn't been more response to this. Sounds great, IMO. Also, bump for Farnsworth

I'll be doing this. Can I do this before my ECU is flashed via flashpro? My car is currently not running as we are in process of an engine build, so now is a good time for my s2000 to be ECUless haha.

Yes, you can do this with a stock ECU before you reflash it with FlashPro.

so if i understand this correctly I can use this built in boost control instead of a boost controller?

Will this allow boost by gear?

Yes, but just to be very clear you still need a boost solenoid.

Yes by gear and rpm

Awesome! Do you think you might be able to use this approach for nitrous control?

I love how they said this won't be a supported mod any time soon so I ditched my flash pro and went with kpro. And here we are 6 months later and its supported....
