Default So I found this hilarious

I was just looking through the calibrations and all the settings on my Hondata Flashpro software. I saw I can set a maximum speed limit, and we all know the rev limiter can be changed. Anyways, someone said I should limit the rpms and max speed for when I bring my car to a dealership or mechanic shop . I actually setup a pretune with 4000 rpm limit and 60 km/h max speed now, I cant stop laughing about it!

Has anyone else thought about doing this, or done the same already?

I've thought about it. If I were to have a dealership work on my car, I would definitely consider it.

My buddy did this in vegas at the vallet at one of the hotels. He set a 15mph limit and a 3500rpm limit. you could hear the vallet popping off the limiter when pulling the car around. It was awesome.

Im pretty sure Accessports come with a "valet setting" pretuned into it, you pull into the valet, upload the valet tune on the accessport and boom, no one can have fun with your car until you change it back

that would be a really great feature as anti-valet, however, it takes sometime to upload the calibration to ECU.
then you would be uploading the original calibration when you get ur car back.
consequently, it is not practical

I would be ok with the upload time, 1-2 minutes, that's nothing for peace of mind the valet cant rip your car down to it's spot.

Haha I'm gonna do this Wednesday when I take my car for an alignment. The tech's always take the cars for rips afterwards to "make sure everything is ok". Haha

A safer way to do valet mode would be to adjust the target throttle map so that the car will drive like a Prius. If you cap the throttle to 10% across the whole RPM range, it will drive pretty normal at low RPMs, but torque will drop fast as the RPMs rise.

Just like that. You may find that it works better to have the throttle limit even lower at lower RPMs, since it doesn't take much throttle at all to give full torque at 3K RPMs.
