^lol! No idea, you could be right...high costs! Maybe it's cheaper to go w/ a piggyback system for the same performance increase. I guess you would need to go to the source to find the answer.

But I was answering RStoR's questions.
if i had a DBW car i would def use flashpro over anything else. i do want to see some people use it for up to 500whp. that would confirm that its a viable solution for some serious hp
I did a bit more research.
Here is a link showing a how to chip an OBD2 ECU. Have read this on multiple sites and it states it'll work on '96-01 ECU's. That covers OBD2A and OBD2B ECU's.

Also read that OBD2 ECU's used wor (write-once read many) chips.
This was because there was no external prom for the fuel/ign tables. It was burned right into the main processor and this had to be done when the chip was burned, and could only be done once.
