Default Tuned AP1 vs AP2

Anyone done any comparisons between a tuned AP1 vs an AP2? Can a AP1 get comparable torque levels of an AP2?

Yeah I'm sure the ap1 can get the same amount of torque with bolt-ons and tuning over a stock ap2 but its not just torque that the ap2 has over the ap1. The ap2 makes more whp on a dyno compared to the ap1. So not olny does the ap2 make more torque but also makes more whp all through the power band, mated to a shorter geared tranny and you have a winner.

mod for mod, the f22 will always respond better to modifications once tuned. remember, there is no replacement for displacement.

This. The only way an AP1 will outperform an AP2 with the same mods and a good tune is by way of extended RPMs.

More like 700 RPMs in stock form, but I'd argue it's 0 RPMs funner with a test pipe and tune.

on 06+ there is flashpro with 8500 redline and lowered vtec to have an extended powerband of 4k to 8.5k vs 6k to 9k for Ap1.

but yeah "there is no replacement for displacement."

I like my F20. I think the OEM intake manifold holds it back on the top end. I'll probably rev mine out to 9300 when I get it tuned. Unless I make poop for power up that high but I doubt I will.

I disagree with this, since the head in the F22 seems pretty unreliable. I've known 4 local F22 owners who had to have their low mileage heads rebuilt or replaced.
