Tuning AEM and have a few questions....
*Background info*So I am a guy that likes to tackle projects by myself and have been working on this project for the past 6 months. I previousley had a rev-hard set up tuned to 9 psi by a local shop. I recentley decided to overhaul the whole kit and upgrade the manifold, turbo, injectors, wastegate, and map sensor. A buddy and I designed/fabbed all the parts(mani, dp, dt.) and I have taken on the task of tuning it. I have around 25-30 hours(I know its not alot) messing with AEMPRO and have taken the EFI 101 class. So I have a pretty basic understanding of tuning and seem to be doing a decent job so far.
There are a few questions I had about my part throttle tuning and idle tuning-
1. When cruising along and I let off the throttle and then barely touch the pedal again the afrs dive to <10 for about 1-2 seconds before leaning back out to my normal cruising AFR. Im assuming this needs to be changed in one of the Accel tables but am a little lost as to which one should be messed with.
2. When I first started to get the car to idle it would only idle at 12:1 or richer. If I tried to take anymore fuel out it would lean out and die. I calibrated my timing with the timing light to 6.91 in the ignition setup. The only way I could get it to run any leaner was to adjust the "ign vs idle rpm table". I had to pull 11* of timing on that table to get it to idle between 14.6-15.0. This doesnt seem right to me and I think I am missing something.
If you have any ideas please let me know. I know I am at that point where I know enough to be dangerous and break something.
Thanks for the help and Ideas
