Why do you think the K Level and K Threshold also dropped at the same time as the dip in ignition timing? Even when ignition timing went back up, the K Level and K Threshold stayed low.
That too is a great question

Isn't ignition timing also pulled by IAT? Did you looked at the IAT and ECT logs?

thats one reason hondata is retarded....

all k-pro's i have tuned seem to do what they want with timing, especially at part throttle and idle.
Yep aem is the way to go. Its better to be able to control every aspect of the tune rather than have the oem computer just do whatever it wants.

only knock control that I'm aware of on k-pro is modifying timing to get rid of knock based on several factors. It would be nice to incorporate the flashpro capabilities into the Kpro Unit, but If that was going to happen my guess would be it would have happened already, right?

It is Hondata were talking about... good product but they feel that they are perfect and that their shit does not stink.

The ignition retard looks somehow rythmic. As if that is a relic from the old settings of the RSX ECU, when the catalyst is checked. There are routines that make short-term changes to the data to see the reaction of the two oxygen sensors to draw conclusions about the catalyst conversion rate.

BTW spectacle I saw your post on Hondata and I doubt they will answer you

I am pretty sure that Hondata turned off all knock related stuff for the MY05 and older Kpro guys since Jeff Evans was told that by Hondata.

Evans assumed the same with the MY06+ dual ecu kpro but I've confirmed with hondata that the knock sensor works for us (MY06+ guys) and I have gotten a couple knocks from time to time.. however I never looked to see if it will retard timing if it picks up a knock.

Heres a email that I got from Jeff Evans when I asked him about knock control if I switched to flashpro.
[QUOTE]The way that the OEM uses knock control with the factory DBW ecu is both predictive and learned, so even if you knock badly it may or may not pull ignition timing.

No actually, to my and probably a lot of people's surprise, they did! I think you just have to have a certain intelligent approach when you go to them for answers. Sometimes its not what you say but how you say it.

[QUOTE="Hondata"]In brief the Honda knock control is designed to compensate for different octane fuel on a stock engine.
