I'm not very familiar with Kj-Pro, but I believe it uses an OEM RSX sensor. However, I think you could get an AEM UEGO (sensor and controller) if you want better accuracy.

BTW, the O2 seonsors on AP1's are narrow band sensors.

No the K-Pro in stock form DOES NOT use the RSX-S sensor. It uses the stock S2000 PHO2S for closedloop and will function perfectly without a wideband. The RSX-S wideband is everybit if not more accurate as the Bosch sensor that comes with the UEGO. The only difference is the Bosch will read down to about 10.0 AFR while the Denso from the RSX-S will read down to about 11.0 AFR.

to use the rsx (i think the type s) wideband, the kpro has to be modified, as the s2000 one doesn't have everything set up the way the way the rsx one does

i'm trying to find out if there is one that just plugs in, i guess there wouldn't if you have to wire it in to the ELD for datalogging, but the less cutting/soldering of wires i have to do the better, IMO
The stock AP1 PHO2S (primary heated O2 sensor) has 4-wires.

To use the RSX-S wideband you don't have to modifiy the K-Pro itself, all you have to do is add a bit of wiring and a relay for the A/F sensor. The install is completely sepereate from the factory wire harness (all the additonal wiring goes in to the extra ECU connector supplied by Hondata with the K-Pro) and is fully reversible. Another bennefit is lean protection. With an aftermarket wideband you are unable to use Hondata's lean protection, with the RSX-S sensor you are. I know the wiring seems a bit overwhelming just looking at the diagram but it really is simple once you understand what is going on.

Is the RSX-S wideband sensor different from the Civic and S2000 sensor? Hondata says that the Civic and S2000 wideband sensors are not accurate when richer than stoich, so they created the "AF Corr" value.

36531-PZX-013 2006 S2000 $192.54

36531-RRA-003 2006 Civic Si $104.18

36531-PRB-A01 2002 RSX Type S $278.51

With the K-Pro there is no corrected A/F value, just the regular AFR. I'm planning to test the RSX sensor side-by-side with our Autronic wideband. Justin C has already tested side-by-side with a PLX and reported no more than 0.1 AFR difference.

As far as your having an older K-Pro you might PM Justin C and ask him, I haven't heard anyting about not being able to do it with the older units.

^^^ Thanks so much for the info! How sure are you that the different part numbers and prices aren't just a marketing thing?
