These seem like apples and oranges. I think the FlashPro would have TONS of advantages over any standalone ECU swap. Unless you are going with some radical engine conversion (ITB's, N20, etc.), I wouldn't consider anything other than the FlashPro on an '06+.

BTW, why do you think you can't get all the power out of your car with a FlashPro? What do you think it is missing?

It all really depends on what your goals are and what features you want. For a simple no hassle solution the Flahspro is a no brainer. If the features you are missing are worth the price difference then go with the Motec.

Tuning wise you will be able to extract the same out of power with both systems. It all really depends on what you tuner.
this is ture but there are some key things that motec has over everyother ecu in the game.. one u can change how long the signal is for the drive by wire .. u can make it so the it is faster then a normal wire TB.. it has traction control that works.. it also has a launch controler .. u can montor each pistion to make sure u are 150% on the safe side..

It seems when you made this post you were already leaning towards running Motec because of the extra features it supports over the Flash Pro. If your pockets are deep enough go for it and post your results.

Not too many people I know run Motec setups. Most that do are competitive drag racers or track junkies. It's not a system for your normal Joe Schmoe with basic bolt-ons. There are many other cost effective solutions for that.

I'm sure a lot of us would love to see your progress and setup if you go with Motec.
