In answer to your problem, if you have pressure in the crank case it's probably the PCV valve. Remove it and do the blow test. You should be able to blow from the crank case to the manifold, but not back the other way.
If it passes the blow test then you have more serious issues like blow by. Do a compression and leakdown test. If the results ain't good get your cheque book out.

Well come to find out it's not the MAP; I put a new one on there, and there was no change.
And the reason for the bumps- being an old thread, it was immediately dropped to the second page, so I bumped it to get first page attention. Sorry.
