Default 06 AP2 C38-91 Kraftwerks Install

Hi Everyone,

Wanted to share my experience thus far on the KW kit from the group by. All of the information on the site has been very helpful so I wanted to give back to the best of my ability!

Build:
- 06 KW full kit w/ Hondata tuning and C38-91 upgrade
- Skunk 2 headers and TP
- Stock Exhaust
- ACT Pressure Plate with OEM AP1 flywheel and clutch
- Upgraded tbolts/couplers from other posts

After waiting a little bit for delivery and working with Moddiction through the group by, everything came in and it was a very exciting day indeed (thank you Moddiction!). Since I lack some of the hands on experience with this type of work, I decided to go with a professional install over at Evans Tuning in PA through recommendations of others in this forum. The shop has been absolutely amazing to work with and I'm very excited to get the car back at the end of the week!

The only comments that I have received so far regarding the kit is the 4BAR map sensor that was included was for a K series motor, so I'm trying to work to resolve this now.

Here are some photos sent over from Evans, I believe she may hit the dyno today

This is my first boosted car, so I can't begin to express how excited I am. Reading everything up until now has all been theoretical in reviewing dyno charts and comparing power, etc. The whole experience thus far has been pretty great and I've continued to read everything on here. Looking forward to my first ride with her on Friday!

Update: Dyno completed, the tune made 465whp / 304tq tuned on 93 octane at 16 PSI

nice man. I heard others had wrong MAP sensors and issues with Gram's fuel pump. If i go this route ill probably upgrade the fuel pump. Cant wait to see numbers on yours. havent seen too many -91 dynos. Hopefully better and upgraded instructions will be included based on feedback for any further purchases from KW. and quality control needs to be revamped lol

as far as upgraded t-bolts/clamps and couplers, what did you go with? where from?

KW told me that they are shipping K series MAP sensors instead of F series. They say that they are functionally the same but the K series sensor does not fit the F series plug. To make it fit, just cut the ridges off of the MAP sensor. The clip that holds the connection together still works as designed.

I notice in your picture that the top of the oil tank is above the shaft of the compressor. The Rotrex instructions say that it should be below the level of the shaft. The KW bracket that holds the tank can be screwed into a hole about 4 inches lower than the one used by your installer. The lower hole was used to hold the factory air box.

I also have an 06 with -91 upgrade. I am installing it myself and look forward to your results. I will be tuning on 91 octane pump gas so my numbers will not be as good as others.

I followed the feedback that was documented by Habitforming on this post, certainly a good review based on what I saw:

He explains where to get all of the parts and I believe has all the correct links directly in the posts.

Thank you for the feedback! I've sent it over to the installers. Hopefully more updates soon.

Looking forward to this as well.

I REALLY wished that Kraftwerks would just sit down, get all the correct parts and get things squared away! I know that when you're needing something, they are there to help and ship, but man. I want a complete organized pack.

Coming from 3 turbo kits, i'm considering a SC for a change. I heard great things of the Kraftwerks.

I think i'm local to you. When it's done, i would love a ride.

The plugs do work with the S2000 and are the correct one they mean to ship out. Kraftwerks stated you need to clip the ears for it to fit into the plug and then it is good to go.

I look forward to seeing what numbers you make!
