Default 06+ SOS Supercharger Instal

Hello all,

I am currently installing my SOS stage two kit on my 08. I ordered the kit with a 255 walbro and ID 1000cc injectors. That being said, Step one in the install instructions is titled: Install Fuel Pump Assembly (2000-2005 only)

Does this mean the I dont need to instal the fuel pump? Is the 06+ oem fuel pump capable of 450whp? I have read that its a non returning system unlike the 00-05's.

Thanks, Snail

im sure you have to install the pump. returnless systems have a lower power ceiling anyhow.

Definately gonna need the pump. You might touch 400 at 100% duty cycle on a stock pump on a 06 car, but that would be pushing it. Get the Aeromotive 340. Its quiet, plug and play, and will take you too almost 500. I see about 85% duty cycle on my Id1000's at 18psi on my06 turbo car. Thats with meth so it would be maxed without it i'm sure. I'm probably in the 475ish range. With the walbro its gonna be a bit less maybe 425-450 max.

That sucks butt.

I originally wanted and the Aeromotive 340, and requested it from the start. When ordering the kit however, SOS said the Aeromotive required a mount or wiring kit(cant remember which) and recomended switching to the Walbro instead, so I did.

Oh well, looks like I will have to rush order the 340.

Thanks for all of yalls help.

What pulley size did you order? The stock fuel pump is good up to 400 hp on 06+. Also the Walbro is good up to 500 on pump so even more on e85. The 340 will need upgraded wiring as the max amp for the stick wiring is 15amp and the 340 ran with 1000cc injectors at 43psi will see around 17.5 amps which is not suffice so your 340 will be flowing as much as a Walbro. Unless your planning on running more than 10 pounds of boost you do t need the fuel pump.

The walbro that comes with the kit isnt that much noisier than the water pump for the heat exchanger. Just swap in the walbro regardless if u have a 06. Prepare to have neck and back pain swaping the fuel pump for the first time

I am running a 13psi pulley.

I believe it is exactly what Jeffery is talking about that SOS brought up when I ordered the kit.

For the 06+, are either pumps "drop in"? Or do you have to cut/bend/remove things to get them to fit?

Thanks, Snail

The pump you need is the ARO-11142 (http://autoplicity.com/products/2513...et_inline.aspx)

Also, I just installed the pump in my MY06 and it's near a drop-in replacement. The fuel pump & sock fit just fine. The harness is the same as stock, so you unplug it from your old pump and plug in the new one. The stock pump outlet has a pvc tube (joint pipe in honda terms) that routes back into the fuel pump assembly which ultimately leads to the regulator then out the top. One end of this joint-pipe has a larger diameter which has an internal rubber gasket. This interface fits over the OEM fuel pump outlet. To install the aeromotive, you need to cut this large diameter part out and simply use the rubber hose that comes w/the Aeromotive to mate the new pump to the joint-pipe.

There was a picture here somewhere, let me try to find it for you. Other than the pvc fitting, it's a drop-replacement.
