the stock map sensor can read just over 10 psi. if you exceed that boost pressure, the ecu will think you are running 10.XX psi. so you can imagine what will happen if you run say 14 psi or even 17 psi, the fueling and ignition value output would be the same was your 10 psi.

in other words, dont do it.
This is strange. Are you sure the stock MAP sensor can read to just over 10 psi? Because on my AEM EMS, the logging map only shows up to 8xx psi with the stock MAP sensor and won't let me tune past that value unless I get a 3 bar MAP.

i was able to run 10 psi on a stock MAP sensor and the AEM had no trouble seeing the boost and accounting for it. I never tried running more than 10 psi though.

Is it possible that you have a fuel cut set for just over 8 psi?

Tim
Not too sure. I can't make any A/F adjustments on the graph past 8.xx psi.

I'm pretty sure your tuner did this.
You can change the values on the side of the map to what you need.
Just click on them.

Theoretically the stock MAP will read up to 10.94 PSI (according to the EMS calibration/wizard files). Have your breakpoints (load) been changed from the defaults ?

You will make popcorn and hot dogs if you boost past 10 psi on the stock map sensor . There is some cal on how much the injectors will flow for a certain whp and also how high will the duty cycle be on them . I would try not to run them no were near 100 % duty cycle just in case of bad gas and such . Th f20 will be a expesive go cart to rEbuild . Your running the gt9000 discobannan turbo right nightstalker .

What about 11 PSI with an AEM EMS, is it still necessary to change the MAP sensor?

Yes

It pretty much cant read past 10.94 PSIg. So if you get some boost creep or a wastegate pipe comes off you will never know (timeousley enough anyway ).
