12 MPG, on a good day
Hey everyone.
First off, i am new here so please excuse me if i am in the wrong section.
I drive a 2003 S2000.
Its equipped with an ERL block, stock bore, iron sleeves, and 9:1 compression pistons.
I am using the comptech kit with the novi 1000, maxes out at around 10psi.
I seem to be getting terrible gas mileage these days an im wondering if you guys have any ideas. Nothing has really changed, i do more city driving than i used to but not a major change.
On a good day, basic commute to work (10 miles each way) i can get 12 MPG. Obviously this is not a commuter car so typically i see much worse results :-/ needless to say its getting expensive and i would like to sort it out!
So, please, throw some suggestions my way!

When was the last time you changed your plugs?
Have you tightened your belt recently?

Well its probably been a year since the belts and plugs have been done, but all in all that's about 4k miles.
If your belt is loose and slipping, you pump less air in and run rich. This wastes gas and you'll lose MPGs. Also a pretty easy thing to run your finger in there and check the slack (be careful if things are warm). Tightening a belt only takes 15-20 min at the most.
