lol, i would love slicks, but id hate leaving half my rearend at the starting line.

No PAIN, no GAIN! That's just the cost of going to the drags. I'm sure most people will go to any expense to get a good time.

(ps. If you don't see the sarcasm, I'M BEING SARCASTIC!)

You don't need drags. People think you get some drag radials and boom you're fast. At the track, with an S2000 thats SCed, drags will make you bog unless you have $1000 axles, and a nice ass diff where you can launch at 6k and get away with it.

I launched at 2,500rpms on street tires and cut a nice 2.0 60 foot.

feather it out and it just goes since it makes boost at all RPM's.

What? Boost on a centrifugal(sp?) blower is rpm dependent. A roots blower will hit max boost sooner.

I didn't say max boost, just boost. At 2,500 I had 1lb and that prevented the engine from bogging.

Gotcha.

TeamSiRs2k- also remember that Nic has an '04. Different tranny and slightly lower powerband.

Not sure what you need as I'm not a drag expert. I've had my car down a strip one time with my 4.57's and the s/c. Two of the four bolts holding a flange on the aftercooler were loose/gone and believe it was losing some boost. Dunno. But I ran 13.3 with street tires and an alignment set up for Fall Colors track sessions.

I want to say my slip looks very similiar to yours. I'll be the first to admit that I am not very good at dragging as I've never really done anything like it in my life- never gone light-to-light with others. There is a skill to all disciplines, not just having raw power.
