Default 2mm headgasket setup

I MIGHT have to replace a few things which would involve removing the head, so i figured to take advantage of this situation and put in a 2mm head gasket. Im curious to see what you guys think about this setup. It drops my compression to 9:1, which tempts me to turn up the boost to around 14 psi. I know this is alittle agressive but i would defeinately have a conservative tune. Has anyone had experience with this setup? Ive found a few threads discussing the topic but not many people seem to actually be running this(it could be a sign).

I think i know all the things to replace but let me list them out and see if yall can suggest anything else(besides a new motor )

-Electonic Boost controller
-New map sensor (AEM or GM 3 bar)(replace if going above 10.XXpsi)
-stronger head studs

Thats about all i got, will i have any problems still running the emanage with this setup. Im aiming to tag around 375-400 rwhp, so will i run into the problem of maxing out my injectors(600cc) or any problems with the turbo(T3/T04) Ultimate racing kit gen 2. Will i have to configure anything with the new MAP sensor or is it a plug-n-go deal?

Actually the 2mm headgasket will drop your compression to about 10:1. And your injectors are actually 578cc if they are from UR. This looks like a good setup for your kit and should be just fine to about 375 whp with those injectors. You may be able to squeeze 400 out of them but the duty cycle might be real close to 100 percent.

thx for the reply. Does this mean that the 3mm HG drops the CR to 9:1 or close to it?

Oh yeah, you'll be able to use the E-manage, but your tune won't be as good as with an AEM. Make sure you're using the ignition harness also because you'll have to pull some out. And you may want to get an AEM boost controller and wahlbro fuel pump.

I ran the 2mm on my F22C1 with stock studs. No issues. Just slap it on and bolt it up.

Nice, i'll consider doing a 2mm, I still think 3mm is way to big to use on stock head studs. 10:1 Cr + 10lbs = good enough.

How does the dropped compression effect "off boost" acceleration?
