Default 3 bar map sensor question

Hey all I am in the finishing stages of my turbo project and I have a quick question. I am using the emanage ult. and I am planning on running about 14 psi so I am going to need a 3 bar map sensor from what I am told. Will this one work http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...:MEWA:IT&ih=011 on an s2000 and if so do I just not do anything with the OEM one since this plugs directly into the emanage?

Thanks.

You still need your OEM map sensor unless you plan to build a air output conversion map to adjust for the voltage differences between the OEM sensor and the 3 BAR one.

At 14 PSI you will probably be going through OEM MAP sensors pretty fast - they tend to start failing when you go past the 10-11 PSI range.

There is a device called a missing link that will mechanically hide boost from the MAP sensor - so you can still use your OEM MAP for out of boost ECM signals. http://www.inlinefour.com/missinglink.html Then use the 3 BAR sensor for your boost fuel/timing control. This should protect your MAP sensor - not sure how well they work or how reliable they are.

How does one know when there map sensor is bad. Is there some type of electical output or does the car just run bad. Just tring to understand what this thing does and why you need to upgrade it?

No - because the 1052 will allow you to select different map sensors and the conversion tables are already built in (assuming you use a MAP sensor that is already mapped in the EMS).

So does anyone know if I can just replace the stock one with the GM one with the emanage?
